Our new and improved webpage

Our Webmaster has been working hard the last couple of months, and now you can see the result. A model of the folk high school, near the border to Germany and reaching out to the rest of the world, is the site’s new header. You choose between long- and short-term courses on the front page, and even Explorer, Volunteer and Pit Stop has their own pages now. On the first page, you will also find some LK10 Students telling, how it was to be a student on Løgumkloster Højskole.

On the header, the logo with new under title “Global Academy”, can be seen. The model of the school is situated in Denmark, but near the German border, and further to the right you’ll find the flag of the European Union and a sign saying “The World”. The headline of the front page says: The Whole World – Right Here!

This new webpage shows more clearly the international part of Løgumkloster Højskole. This was hard to find on the predecessors, where the landscape was mainly that of some Danish farmland, the language was only Danish, and the under title of the logo was also only understandable for Danes (“netværk uden grænser”). Now the under title is “Global Academy”, because the folk high school is global, and you get the impression of being part of the world – not only part of some small unknown Danish village – when you look at the header.

On the right side of the header you’ll find the passage to the rest of the world. Also there are links to the page in English, to Facebook, Youtube, Flickr and tr@f.

Not the whole page is in English, and we are sorry about that. But there is a summary in English, that tells about Løgumkloster Højskole, what a folk high school is, and what you can do and learn there.

On the page you can also find links to our resources such as Youtube, Facebook, Flickr (Galleries) and tr@f.

Please check it out. We think it is “pure niceness”, but send us your comments. Maybe we can improve it even more.
